Windows 11 - Mapping Drives

1. Navigate to File Explorer on your home screen

File Explorer is a yellow folder icon at the bottom of the home screen.

2. In File Explorer, select "This PC" on the left side

"This PC" is above "Network" on the left side of the page.

3. In the top-right corner of the screen, click on the three horizontal dots

The dots are in the top-right corner of the page.

4. Select "Map network drive"

"Map network drive" is under "Add a network location" towards the top-middle of the drop down.

5. Enter the:

        a. Letter you want to represent the drive

        b. File path for the drive

        c. Whether or not you want the drive to automatically connect after signing into the computer

        d. Hit "Finish"

The values (text fields) are in order from top to bottom as listed in Step 5..

6. The drive will now appear under This PC with your other drives

***NOTE: If you receive the error message below, the file path is incorrect or the User does not have access to the share***

The error message says "Windows cannot access (drive file path)".
